I spent Sunday morning volunteering at Leon’s Triathlon Obstacle Course Race, and once again I was reminded why this event holds such a special place in my heart.

There is something deeply humbling about standing shoulder to shoulder with our nation’s heroes—working alongside them, listening to their stories, and sharing in a day devoted to honoring their service and sacrifice.

One of the most meaningful moments of the morning was having the honor of helping the Fallen Hero team set out the memorials honoring our military fallen heroes. Seeing each memorial placed along the course was a powerful reminder that behind every name is a life, a family, a story, and a sacrifice that should never be forgotten.

This is more than an event. It is a meaningful opportunity to honor our military men and women, veterans, and first responders, while remembering the fallen heroes who gave everything for the freedoms we cherish today.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside those who have sacrificed so much for all of us.
